CSR and sustainability
nLinks CRS vision is to be the best partner for our customers’ robotized future. In our thinking, sustainability has three dimensions: societal, environmental, and economic.
Robotization primarily focuses on eliminating dirty, dangerous, and dull work, rather than replacing humans with machines. We contribute to the wellbeing of our society by providing solutions that improve health and safety, and eliminate the risk of personal injury. This aligns with the United Nations' sustainable development goal (SDG) number 8 “Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all”.
On the environment, we contribute to sustainability by offering electrified and robotized solutions which reduce climate impact by limiting fossil fuel usage, minimizing energy consumption by optimizing material flows and using environmentally friendly materials throughout the product life cycle. In this sense, this dimension contributes to the United Nations' SDG number 12 “Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns”.
A strong economic benefit, where also the cost of personal injury is accounted for, provides the basis for achieving what we do. Our contribution to economic welfare supports our customers’ innovation to improve profitability and reduces the overall social costs related to personal injuries. This dimension aligns with the United Nations' SDG number 9 “Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation”.
nLinks environmental sustainability policy
As part of nLinks environmental sustainability policy, we commits to the following principles and practices:
Monitoring and managing our environmental performance and working towards targets set to reduce adverse impacts.
Complying with Norwegian national and local policy, practices, regulations and legislation, and industry-specific legislation.
Reducing the consumption of natural resources in daily operations, including water, paper, plastics and energy.
Maximizing the recycling of resources.
Disposing of waste appropriately, including e-waste at designated e-waste recycling stations.
Committing to the principles of preventing pollution to the environment and continual improvement.
Minimizing pollution by taking steps to limit carbon emissions resulting from vehicle and air travel.
Where possible, encouraging suppliers to meet high standards of environmental performance.
Communicating this policy to all employees, contractors and other stakeholders, as well as making this policy available to the general public.
Reporting on the company’s environmental performance in both internal and external communications, where relevant.
Reviewing this policy annually, measuring targets and performance as part of that review.
nLinks Code of Conduct for business partners
nLink's ethical guidelines for suppliers apply to all suppliers and their subcontractors, and are based on current laws and regulations, central UN conventions, ILO conventions and specify minimum standards.
We expect nLink's suppliers, and their subcontractors, to follow all laws and regulations in the countries in which they do business. Where national laws and regulations cover the same subject as these guidelines, the highest standard shall always apply.
